"And so, locked away in his studio throughout 2008, Flevans recorded his third album, ‘27 Devils’. More diverse and polished than any of his previous releases, it features the incredible vocals of Sarah Scott and Shona Foster, as well as several instrumental cuts, covering styles from funk to breaks, electronica and soul, all with Flevans’ original style and sound, and not a sample in sight. For the first time, Flevans also contributes his own vocals on a couple of tracks, completing his experience of crafting a fully live record. Only days after the completion of ‘27 Devils’, and on the back of this exciting new progression in sound, Flevans signed a new three album deal with Tru Thoughts. "

Little Victories

¿Quién es este tío?

"Rephrase is the name given to Sydney producer/musician Jaime Olsen.

Starting his production career in 1999, Jaime entered the Australian leg of the Roland Groovemaster competition and won an endorsement allowing him to expand his humble bedroom studio.

Joining forces with an old band mate in 2001 he formed Sydney breaks group Db Chills. They signed their debut album BrokenSound to Stephen Mallinders (Caberet Voltaire) label Offworld Sounds in 2002 and were nominated for a DMA that same year.

With Db Chills taking a break in 2003 Jaime focused on producing his debut solo album Beatcoaster under the name Rephrase.
Sydney producer Rephrase is back with his second album Little Victories, a remarkable Nu Funk outing that thrusts Jaime Olsen in to the international spotlight of the Funk Breaks scene. Since leaving us with the Beatcoaster album (on Casa Del Discos), Rephrase has been busying himself with remixes for a host of overse as artists and labels and producing incidental music for SBS World Cup football coverage with ex dB Chills bandmates. Earlier in 2006, Knowfoowl Music released the single Boulevard/Good Felelin on vinyl with remixes by Flevans (Tru Thoughts UK) and Parov Stelar (Etage Noir Austria) to rave reviews and club support from heavyhitters like Mo Horizons, Ed Royal and Kraak & Smaak."
